About A to Z Pediatrics

The physicians and staff of A to Z Pediatrics take their responsibilities seriously. We are always interested in improving the services we provide, and welcome constructive suggestions you may have.

All physicians in the group are U.S. trained and board certified by both the National Board of Medical Examiners and the American Board of Pediatrics. Most are fellows of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Most have a history of academic teaching positions at local medical schools.

The group participates in research through the Pediatric Research in the Office Setting (PROS) program of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Medical students from the USC School of Medicine and resident physicians from Children’s Hospital Los Angeles rotate through the practice as part of their outpatient teaching experience. The practice has been recognized for excellence in teaching medical students.

The medical group has been highly ranked relative to San Gabriel Valley Pediatric and Family practices when compared by area boards of health on immunization rates and public health outcome measures. The group has received citations from the California State Assembly, California State Senate, The Pasadena Board of Health, and the Federal Vaccines-for-Children program for Excellence in Immunization rates and preventive health. One physician is the former president of the Los Angeles Pediatric Society. Another physician served 2 terms as an elected director for the California chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Members of the group have been repeatedly listed in the “Top Doctors” in a local publication, based on peer review of physicians in the Los Angeles area. To learn more about our doctors ;click here.

Relative to other practices, A to Z Pediatrics sets aside more time for same-day ill visits than most other pediatric practices, based on national MGMA criteria. A free telephone service staffed by pediatric registered nurses is available to answer patients’ questions during office hours. The office does not have physician assistants, nurse practitioners, or other clinical “physician extenders.” Early morning appointments are available. The office is conveniently located across the street from the Huntington Memorial Hospital, where ancillary services may be obtained and hospital admissions may be attended.

The group accepts most PPO and POS insurance. We do not accept HMO insurance or Health Net insurance. All physicians are credentialed with the same carriers.
